English comes in handy when you are out of Japan.
You would feel this way if you possessed an enough ability to make your English "active" in a situation where the language is necessary.
However, there does not seem to be a lot of Japanese who really feel pressed or motivated to learn English.
Why?
It is partly because they can get by OK here in Japan without using English.
And another reason would be their lack of patience in the learning process, which can be seen everywhere. You would agree with this if you were engaged in teaching jobs: Many learners of English tend to stop learning half-way. So their English skills don't reach the level which is , for example, enough to make their overseas trips full of excitement.
There is no doubt: English takes you ANYWHERE on the global map.
So do not spend your whole life in a limited area on the earth.
Go see another possibility of your life WITH ENGLISH!
